Here are some pictures of the waxing moon that I have recently taken during daylight and specifically, I would like to discuss in this article the importance in the Middle Ages where some myths about this celestial body have emerged. Even when the era of time was not yet so mature, people oriented themselves on the basis of the moon and some farmers used the brightness of the full moon to go to harvest and there were also some views that the yield of the grain was higher than normal at that time and also the mills that process the grain also worked also at night during the moonlight. To honor these aspects, some different names of the moons have also emerged just like the well-known harvest moon at the end of the year and there was also the view at that the people one should follow the phases to plant seeds. In addition, often moon festivals were celebrated and just as in previous cultures, the moon was associated with the female aspects and in literature numerous legends were created that revolve around the moon and also numerous deities from other cultures were also sometimes revered in the European Middle Ages where the moon was also often associated with occultism. People also thought that happiness was waiting for them during the waxing moon and that's why people often waited until they did things or start projects until the new moon so that happiness was on their side. Also in heraldry since the 13th century, numerous coats of arms were created in which the moon is depicted and also the old alchemists of the Middle Ages associated the moon with the metal silver.
