Moon and Femininity
Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a week that was full of positive experiences! Today I would like to discuss an interesting topic and hope you are able to expand your knowledge.
Recently, I took some pictures of the waxing moon during daylight and I would like to use them to specifically address the connections between the moon and the female aspects. Most of the time the moon is associated with the femininity and this is especially reflected in mythology where in most cultures the moon deities are of female origin and the sun embodies the male aspects and together the union of these celestial bodies is often considered as a whole and especially this comes into its own in alchemy. Also in Asian philosophy, this association comes out well as with Yin and Yang, where Yin is associated with the female and from a symbolic point of view the moon is also associated with fertility or motherhood and moon goddesses are also often regarded as leaders of women and represent female strengths of creation. The female menstrual cycle is also closely linked to those of the lunar phase and already ancient cultures probably used the lunar phases to define menstruation and women probably react particularly strongly to some moon phases, which of course can always be considered individually. At the full moon, it is often said that the energy comes into its own and the feelings as well as emotions are often intensified and interesting is in general probably also the effect of the moon on the subconscious and those who want to learn more about this topic will find a contribution here.
Thanks a lot for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about this topic! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens!
