Monomad - Stones in the Rain
Hey dear Hive community, I hope you all have a great weekend and you are doing well! In my new post I would like to present some pictures in black and white for the #monomad challenge and hope you like my entry.
You can see stones here, which I photographed on a rainy day and I think the rain gives the surface a very special and interesting effect and this effect comes into its own on the black and white pictures. Stones can also be found in symbolism and mythology and are often used as a sign of eternal life, stability, constancy and durability. From a spiritual point of view, stones are often associated with creativity and harmony as well as spiritual development or awakening.
Stones can also often be found in mythology and in Greek mythology, stones are often seen as a result of the tears of the gods and are also often associated with the god of music Apollo and according to legends, he had the ability to set stones in motion through his singing. Even in ancient Egypt, stones have reached a high priority and are often associated with the Benben stone, which was often associated with mysticism and creative power.
Stones have often been used for ritual purposes since the Stone Age and different places of worship can be found around the globe, which were built from stones, such as the well-known stone circles in the southern part of England near Avebury which are also known as Stonehenge. Stones are also deeply anchored in alchemy and an important part of the elements and one of the best-known symbols from alchemy is probably the philosopher's stone.
Many thanks for stopping by and watching! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens!
Nice pictures, and they are definitely wet. Just remember slippery when wet! Or was I thinking of the Bon Jovi album???
Thank you for your comment :) Glad to read that my post could associate you with memories.
Such large stones are very beautiful as they are and the rain has made them even more beautiful as we can see in these pictures.
Thanks for stopping by and analyzing my contribution :)
Most welcome dear.
These are lovely. Stones are also important symbols of worship and rituals in my part of Africa.
These particular fine stones were one of the oldest grinders back in the day. It is usually used on a flatter fine stone to grind peppers, leaves, etc.
Good job!
Thank you for your kind words :) I'm glad I was able to learn something new about Africa! Africa is general so diverse and interesting when it comes to mythology.
