Monomad - Rose

Good day dear Hive friends, first of all I hope that you are all well and that you had a weekend that was full of positive experiences! Here I would like to present one or the other photo in black and white for the #monomad challenge and hope you can learn something new.

Here you can see pictures of a rose which is also known under the scientific name Rosa. In alchemy, the rose is often found and in the past fragrances were already extracted from the roses, which is why it can also be associated with alchemical steps of extraction. Often the plant is also associated with secret knowledge as well as the main work of alchemy, the philosopher's stone. The rose also has a permanent place in Norse mythology and is often associated with the goddess of love Freya and was already used for ceremonies in ancient Egypt. This trend was expanding more and more and even in ancient Greece festivals were celebrated with roses at the center and in Spain roses also have a long tradition where a rose festival is celebrated every year in Catalonia. The rose has also acquired an important meaning in heraldry and is symbolized in many coats of arms and the use as a coat of arms already goes back to ancient Rome and roses can also be found on many old seals.
