Monomad - Rose

Good day dear Hive community, I hope you all had a great day and you are doing well! In this post I would like to present some black and white pictures and this post is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

You can see here wonderful roses which show themselves in their full glory and you can see probably the species Rosa hybrida in my pictures. Depending on the color, roses can have different meanings and in general they are a symbol of beauty, love, secrets and fertility. Roses can also be associated with the planets Venus and Jupiter and white roses are often associated with the moon, yellow with the sun. Mythologically, roses are also strongly anchored and often symbolize the divine and the supernatural.

In Greek mythology, roses are associated with the goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite and her counterpart from Roman mythology Venus. In ancient Egypt, roses were also associated with the goddess of fertility Isis and in general with the divine. Roses can also be found in Norse mythology and are dedicated to the goddess Freya and it was also highly revered by the ancient Celts. Roses can also be found in alchemy and have often been associated with wisdom and the development of the spirit, immortality and the Philosopher's Stone.

Roses are also strongly anchored in heraldry and can be found in many coats of arms and is also the national flower of some countries such as England, USA, Czech Republic and Luxembourg. Roses have also gained a high priority in art history and can often be seen in various works of art such as paintings, murals, sculptures and many other works since ancient times. To this day, roses are a great motif for paintings and well-known artists such as Rachel Ruysch, Claude Monet, Carl Spitzweg, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and many other artists have presented roses in their works of art.

Nice shots! It's always cool to compare black and white to color, it's so vastly different. Awesome pictures!

enjoyed learning about the symbolism of roses in different cultures and mythologies. It's fascinating to see how this flower has been associated with such a wide range of concepts, from love and beauty to the divine and the supernatural.

I also appreciate the information you provided about the history of roses in art. It's clear that this flower has been a popular subject for artists for centuries.

I think these photos are a great entry for the #monomad challenge. They are well-composed and beautifully lit, and the black and white format really brings out the details of the roses.
