Monomad - Blackbird

Hey dear Hive Community, first of all I would like to welcome you to my new post and hope you are well! Today I took some black and white pictures for the #monomad challenge which I would like to present and hope you like my entry.

Here you can see a blackbird which is also known under the scientific name Turdus merula and this bird species was first described in 1758 by the well-known botanist Carl Linnaeus. In the past, I have already written a post with more information about this bird and if you want to learn more about it, you will find my post here. In my pictures you can see a female blackbird and the male blackbirds are usually easy to recognise by the typical black color while the females have a rather browner appearance.

Also interesting is the singing of blackbirds, which has a diverse frequency spectrum and is one of the first birds to hear in the morning. In the past, it was also thought that the singing of blackbirds can put people in a trance state, which I have already discussed in my other post. In the mythology of the shamans, blackbirds were often associated with flowing transitions and it was assumed that they are the guardians between two worlds. In ancient times, this bird species was generally associated with the mystical and was often also associated with the subconscious.
