Magnetism in Alchemy

Good day dear Hive community, first of all I hope as always that you are all well and that you had a day full of positive experiences! In my new post, I would like to write something about an interesting topic and hope you can learn something new.

You can see here specimens of the mineral magnetite which all have one thing in common, all have magnetic properties and if you want to learn more about the mineral, you will find my contribution here. Magnetism was generally known thousands of years ago and generally refers to the physical appearance of magnetic forces. There are not many minerals that act like a magnetite and among the best known are probably magnetite which has a particularly high proportion of iron and magnetic properties can be found in the alchemical alphabet and the symbol is 🝓. In this article, I would like to specifically address magnetism and alchemy, which is an interesting topic and has also shaped alchemy to some extent and in the past there have been many experiments with the help of magnetic energy to give new life energy to sick people. The well-known alchemist Paracelsus also described in the 16th century the healing power of magnetism on the body and associated the power of magnets with cosmic energy and it was primarily about bringing sick people into a positive balance with the help of magnetism. The thoughts of Paracelsus inspired many other scientists to research in this field and over time, it was discovered that with the help of magnets it was even possible to treat people over a further distance or even through walls without any contact, the exact effects on the body of this conventional treatment option is really very interesting and rather unknown topic. Nowadays, magnetic fields are often used for therapeutic purposes in alternative medicine and it can improve the immune system or speed up healing and I think it is interesting that the old alchemists have also already researched this topic!
