Here are some pictures of horses and a horseshoe that is considered a protection of the paws and has traditionally been forged by the blacksmiths and already a long history behind it. The best-known symbolism is probably that it is supposed to bring happiness or luck and is often used as a gift at festivities or ceremonies and already in ancient cultures it was common to hang horseshoes on the door because it was believed that this could protect against negative influences and also brings happiness to the inhabitants of the house. It was also considered a symbol of prosperity and here it is important to know that it would only bring luck if you hang the horseshoe with the u shape and if it hangs the wrong way, it can also be counted as a negative sign and there are different interpretations about this topic and some prefer to hang it sideways according to the typical c shape and this tradition has developed especially in Europe. It was also often linked to occultism and some are of the opinion that if you hang the horseshoe in the u shape this should be considered as a sign of the devil and reminds of the typical horns and when horses carry a horseshoe, there was the view that this would give the horse a lot of strength and thus were also be symbolically better protected. It was also a tradition to hang a horseshoe on the horse's stable and in the past this was widespread and there was almost no stable without this lucky charm and it has also found its way into heraldry and can be seen in numerous coats of arms and is also a popular motif in art. Many artists have focused on the creation of small horseshoes in different materials and is often carried as a chain which also has a high symbolic power and it also appears in Norse mythology and is associated with the god Odin and is considered an important symbol for protection as well as happiness and those who want to learn more about the and history of the production process and more about history, will find my contribution here.
