Exploring the Maisinger Gorge

Hey everyone, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my contribution and hope you have a pleasant start to the new week so far! Today I would like to share an experience with you that I have collected while travelling and look forward if you can get to know new places.

When I was in Bavaria, I visited the Maisinger Gorge at Lake Starnberg, which is known as a natural place that was probably already created during the Iron Age. The way to the gorge is relatively family-friendly and can be classified as an easy hike by the difficulty and there are also various possibilities to enter the gorge and the most popular routes are starting from Pöcking, Starnberg or Maising directly. I have decided to start from Starnberg and if someone arrives here, the best way is directly through the city to the waterworks of Starnberg and here there are also possibilities to park, but if you come from the city, it's not too far and the way from the lake promenade to the start is not longer than 15 minutes. To enter the hiking trail, visitors simply have to take the path that leads past the fence on the right and when it comes to the waterworks and the gorge there are also interesting things to learn how that a large part of the drinkable water of this area comes from here.

At first the path runs briefly over meadows in which some rare and native plants could be seen and when I followed the gravel path I reached the forest a short time later in which the gorge is located and the breathtaking nature also includes some caves which can be found on the sides, but are too small to enter. The path leads directly to Maising and it takes about half an hour to walk there, but it always depends on the pace. When I arrived there, I looked around a bit, but there is nothing to report here about a sight that I also visited there and then I went back the same way back to Starnberg. If you want to eat something, you have the possibility to go to a traditional beer garden in Maising which is very popular in Bavaria to eat, but I can't say anything specific about this locality, but for every visitor to Bavaria it is an absolute must to visit one of these beer gardens.

As I have noticed, the path is open all year round, but I would perhaps do something else on a rainy day and it is also important to know that during the way some areas on the side may not be entered, but in this regard there are own signs which go into more detail. The whole way is particularly suitable for people who are looking for a wire to nature and want to dig a not too difficult route and also for families it is very suitable but for people who really want to hike all day, it may not be the right one but there are possibilities to combine this route with others. The whole area has been placed under special nature protection and even those who are thirsty on the way will see enough opportunities here at which fresh water can be drunk.

You can see how you have traveled to a very beautiful area that reflects the charm of nature. Although traveling alone in an area shaded by large trees where the sun's rays are minimal adds to the mysterious feeling, the mental freedom you feel is beyond description.

You have really found the right words and these can probably be transferred to many experiences in nature. It's the perfect place to switch off and experience unique moments.
