Exploring Bang Kachao in Bangkok

Hey dear community, first of all I hope you have pleasant holidays so far which have brought some interesting experiences into your life! In my new post I would like to share something about my time in Bangkok with you and I am happy if you like my post and can learn new things.

During my time in Thailand I visited Bangkok for a week and got to know pretty much all the important aspects of the culture which can be seen here, but today it should be specifically about my visit to Bang Kachao. I have made so many breathtaking experiences in the city, but it's like in other big cities so that there is extremely much noise or other stimuli that people are surrounded by, which is why I decided to take a trip into nature and Bang Kachao was probably one of the best options for this. Bang Kachao is a peninsula which is located in the middle of the city and although I was in the middle of the noisy city, I definitely had the feeling of being in a different place which is all surrounded by nature and not without reason the peninsula is also called the lung of Bangkok. There are no high-rise buildings here and life seemed even more traditional to me and it was certainly one of the best places to escape the hectic city climate and also very educational because there are many tropical plants or animals to observe here.

There are also farmers here who grow different foods such as bananas or coconuts which is definitely reflected in the quality which is very good here and who should be on the peninsula should not miss to buy a coconut for little money to drink and even if this is offered everywhere in Thailand, the quality here is above the average. Since the area is extremely important for the climate in the environment, there are special regulations that should ensure that the area is more protected and if people want to build here, they have to submit applications for a long time, which proves the role of the protection of nature. On the peninsula there is a large park, many canals and a large lake where even the fish can be fed for a small symbolic tip and a little away from the lakes I visited a tower from which I could observe the tropical birds.

I decided to drive here right in the morning and from the pier the trip took only a few minutes and arrived on the peninsula there is the possibility to rent a bike which is definitely important because it's difficult to explore everything on foot. With the bike I was very flexible and my first destination was the park which could not be missed and then I explored other important spots on the island and finally drank a butterfly pea tea and enjoyed some traditional food. On the island there are many small stands that offer food and those who are on the road by bike have enough time to explore everything quite comfortably and I think half a day was enough for me to simply switch off from the hectic climate of Bangkok. I think it is rather unknown compared to the typical tourist spots and recommended for anyone looking for a day trip and does not want to leave the city and it's also the perfect place to switch off and get to know the native flora.

Bang Kachao looks like an oasis in the middle of Bangkok! You took some beautiful shots and what pretty place. It sounds like it was well worth the short trip to get there. I've never made it out to Thailand, I wouldn't mind travelling out that way, but have other destinations much higher on the list!

Thanks for sharing such a cool place!

I love how this place offers such a strong connection to nature without actually leaving Bangkok. Biking through green spaces like this sounds incredibly refreshing.

The environment looks cnatureozy. Sometimes it's good to escape city life and embrace nature in its entirety. Such a beautiful place to visit , no doubt you had a swelled time there. But wait a minute, "butterfly pea tea"...just wondering what the taste would look like.😀 You indeed captured stunning views.

Thank you so much for sharing.
