Good day dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my contribution and hope you had a day that has been full of positive experiences! In this post, I would like to talk a little about nature and hope you can learn new things.

You can see here some pictures of cranesbill which is also known under the scientific name germanium and has already a long history behind it and was already appreciated by ancient cultures as a medicinal plant. Roughly, it can be distinguished from several hundred species and the natural distribution area is Europe and Asia where it typically grows in rather humid areas and is able to multiply itself and the seeds usually fly far and the plant also grows extremely fast. The flowering period begins relatively early in the year and cranesbill provides food for numerous species of insects and often you will find caterpillars on the leaves and the flowers that are rich in pollen or nectar are often visited by bees, hoverflies and other insects and the plant has developed an interesting mechanism to keep harmful animals away and on the stems you can often find hairs. It can be said that it is considered relatively robust and has a high resistance to pests and also nudibranchs as well as other unwanted creatures that could harm the plant are rarely found here and it is also considered hardy and perennial. The pollen and nectar value is in an average value and offers an extremely important source for insects that are becoming increasingly rare and often you can also see here some species of wild bees that are becoming increasingly rare in some places and are even threatened with extinction and some species have specialized exclusively in the cranesbill. The flowers are pollinated by different insects and it also often offers shelter for some small creatures and is absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to make their garden or balcony ecologically valuable and also attaches importance to old medicinal plants, as always I would like to mention here that in case of illness you should always ask your doctor or pharmacist about the correct use!
