The "White Bride" bush.

The "White Bride" bush.
We call this bush the "White Bride." It's all because there's a superstition that if a girl smells the flowers on the bush and inhales the aroma, she'll soon get married. This is especially useful for women who want to get married soon.
I'm not sure it works, but some girls still rely on this superstition.

This bush grows large. The flowers are small, but there are a lot of them.

This bush will decorate any yard. I don't have this bush in my yard yet, but perhaps in the future I'll plant one in my yard or at my summer cottage.

This bush isn't picky, so it's easy to grow. The main thing is to plant it in a sunny spot, and remember to water it at least once a week. During severe drought, the bush needs to be watered twice a week. During rainy seasons, it doesn't need to be watered if the rainfall is sufficient.

I think this bush is one of the most beautiful; I also like lilacs.
I have a lilac in my yard, but it doesn't bloom as long as the "white bride" lilac.
The bush got its name because it's snow-white, like a bride in a white dress. This is probably where the superstition comes from: a girl who inhales the flower's scent will soon get married. I wish all girls who dream of getting married find their true love, even without this bush.

I love plants and the stories associated with them. This was a very nice and heartfelt piece of writing. I've always enjoyed learning about local traditions and folk beliefs related to plants; the story of the "White Bride" shrub is quite charming and memorable. Whether the legend is true or not doesn't matter, because this belief adds a special meaning to this already beautiful plant. I can imagine how impressive it looks when covered in snow-white flowers.
