Sunflowers 🌻 in a field.
We went for a walk in nature, through meadows and fields.
The sunflowers are blooming right now. 🌻
They have big heads. They aren’t ripe enough yet to harvest the seeds.
When the petals turn dry and the seeds turn black, that means the sunflowers are ready to be harvested.
I love sunflower seeds. I often roast them at home. Even when you buy them at the store, they don’t have the same delicious aroma as those roasted at home. When you roast sunflower seeds, the whole house smells wonderful. Then, after the family has finished eating the seeds, you have to vacuum the entire house, because no matter how carefully you eat, the crumbs will still end up everywhere.
There are also decorative sunflowers, specifically for bouquets or for decorating the yard, garden, or flower bed.
Sunflowers grow tall, with stems about one and a half meters high. The flower itself is large, with yellow petals. Inside are the seeds.
Decorative sunflowers are much smaller.
