The dandelions are blooming now. I like them very much. I like when large fields in dandelions, such a yellow blanket of dandelions.
The dandelions are not big. They're not tall, the flowers themselves are not big. About the size of a quail's egg.
Dandelions taste bitter. When you pick them, they release a white juice that's very bitter. I know because when I was a kid, we used to make dolls out of them. We divided the trunk into several parts without tearing it off, then we took them in our mouths and twisted these torn trunks in our mouths. Then they'd get all twisted up like locks of hair. And the flower itself was a yellow dress)
From dandelions they make wreaths. On the holiday of Ivan Kupala they make wreaths from dandelions and at night let them into the river.
Dandelions are very useful. With dandelions make tinctures therapeutic in folk medicine. Also used in medicine, and also used in cosmetology. Dandelions make very good creams. I have a cream for hands with dandelions. It moisturizes the skin well.
