I took these photos a long time ago, when the cherry blossoms were still in bloom. I took these photos after the rain, so the flowers are covered in raindrops. I took these photos with my phone camera.
The cherry blossoms were good this year. But there was almost no harvest. Last year there was a good cherry harvest. I ate a lot of cherries. I like to pick cherries, wash them and put a bowl of cherries next to me when I work (draw). I draw and eat cherries.
Last year we made cherry compote. I love berry compote. In the summer, when it's hot, it's so good to take a jar of cool compote out of the refrigerator and drink it. It's so cooling.
I have two cherry trees in my yard. One cherry tree has red berries, the other has yellow berries. They are all delicious.
Caring for cherries is not difficult, but it will still take time. Cherry trees need to be watered and fed with special fertilizers. They also need to be treated against pests; the tree needs to be treated about three times: before flowering, when it blooms, and when the berries have set. It also needs to be whitewashed in the spring, the bottom of the tree.
