A hedgehog 🦔 came to visit the garden 🪴
A hedgehog came to visit us at our dacha. He wasn't afraid of me at all and didn't hide his face. He was watching me.
He probably came to see if the strawberries were ripe yet. We planted strawberries at the dacha this year. Hedgehogs love strawberries, so I think he'll be visiting us often, or at least our strawberry patch.

Hedgehogs are generally hunters and meat eaters. As a child, I thought hedgehogs only ate fruit, like apples and strawberries. But not only that, they also catch mice and, apparently, snakes. As I got older, I realized that hedgehogs aren't vegetarians :)
The hedgehog watched me for a bit and then went about his business. You can give the hedgehog water or kefir. I know that hedgehogs shouldn't be given milk, as most people are accustomed to, because it can cause diarrhea. Generally, milk is good for everyone during childhood. Later, it's often added to various dishes and baked goods.
Overall, meeting the hedgehog went well. I was happy to see him. I hope he leaves me some strawberries.
