Today was another day spent at my parents' farm. They enjoy growing all kinds of crops, such as corn, beans, cassava, yam, passion fruit, and many other plants. However, all of this requires a great deal of dedication. First, the soil must be prepared, then the crops are planted, fertilized, and cared for throughout their growth. Only after a lot of hard work does the harvest finally come.

Life in the countryside is quite challenging and demands a lot of physical effort. It's a lifestyle that especially appeals to people who truly enjoy farming and taking care of animals. Despite all the work involved, there is a wonderful reward: almost every time I visit my parents, I return home with fresh fruits, vegetables, and other produce that they grew themselves, without having to buy anything.

This morning, I watched my father as he cleared the land with a hoe. He was removing weeds from the area around the orange trees because he plans to use the space between them to grow other crops. Seeing him work up close reminded me just how physically demanding farming can be. It certainly isn't a job for everyone.

Even so, I know many people—especially the older generations in my region—who truly enjoy this kind of work. For them, taking care of the land is much more than a job; it's a habit, a tradition, and, in many cases, a lifelong passion.

Hoje foi mais um dia na roça dos meus pais. Eles gostam muito de cultivar diversos alimentos, como milho, feijão, macaxeira, inhame, maracujá e muitas outras plantas. No entanto, tudo isso exige bastante dedicação. É preciso preparar a terra, plantar, adubar, cuidar durante o crescimento e, somente depois de muito trabalho, fazer a colheita.

A vida no campo é bastante desafiadora e exige muito esforço físico. É um estilo de vida que costuma agradar principalmente quem realmente gosta de plantar e cuidar dos animais. Apesar de todo esse trabalho, existe uma grande recompensa: quase sempre que vou visitá-los, volto para casa com frutas, verduras ou outros alimentos fresquinhos, tudo produzido por eles, sem precisar comprar.

Hoje pela manhã acompanhei meu pai enquanto ele limpava a terra com uma enxada. Ele estava retirando o mato da área onde ficam as laranjeiras, pois pretende aproveitar o espaço entre elas para plantar outras culturas. Observando esse trabalho de perto, percebi como ele é pesado e exige muita disposição. Não é um serviço para qualquer pessoa.

Mesmo assim, vejo que muitas pessoas, principalmente as mais velhas da minha região, fazem esse tipo de atividade com prazer. Para elas, cuidar da terra é muito mais do que trabalho: é um hábito, uma tradição e, muitas vezes, uma verdadeira paixão.
