This weekend was little Daniel's birthday, my wife's cousin and much loved by the whole family. He turned 1 on Friday and had a beautiful party to celebrate the occasion. On Saturday, he and his parents went to the beach, but my wife and I could only go on Sunday.

We spent the day at a great beach house, with a barbecue, plenty of food, and a pool—it's always good to enjoy the good moments that life offers. After lunch and lots of fun in the pool, we took little Daniel to the beach. After all, you can't say you went to the beach without putting your feet in the sand and taking a dip in the sea.

We played with Daniel by the sea, while his mother stayed at home to rest a little after a very busy weekend. At first, I didn't even intend to travel, as I have a lot of work to catch up on for my master's degree, but in the end I gave in to my wife's wishes. And, honestly, it was a special moment. I hope he enjoyed it as much as we did!

Neste final de semana foi aniversário do pequeno Daniel, primo da minha esposa e muito querido por toda a família. Ele completou 1 ano de vida na sexta-feira e ganhou uma linda festa para celebrar a data. No sábado, ele e seus pais foram para a praia, mas eu e minha esposa só conseguimos ir no domingo.

Passamos o dia em uma ótima casa de praia, com churrasco, bastante comida e piscina — sempre é bom aproveitar os bons momentos que a vida oferece. Depois do almoço e de muita diversão na piscina, fomos com o pequeno Daniel até a praia. Afinal, não dá para dizer que foi à praia sem colocar os pés na areia e tomar um banho de mar.

Brincamos com o Daniel à beira do mar, enquanto a mãe dele ficou em casa descansando um pouco após um fim de semana bem agitado. No início eu nem pretendia viajar, pois estou com muitas atividades atrasadas do mestrado, mas no fim acabei cedendo à vontade da minha esposa. E, sinceramente, foi um momento especial. Espero que ele tenha gostado tanto quanto nós!
