Today is my wife’s cousin Gabi’s birthday. She invited us out for pizza so the date wouldn’t pass by unnoticed. My wife, who absolutely loves pizza, didn’t think twice before accepting the invitation. And me, who isn’t the biggest fan of these outings, went along anyway, already knowing that, in the end, the bill always ends up in the husbands’ hands. HUAHAUHAUA!

While we were there, I kept thinking that if we had ordered the pizza through an app, we probably would have spent at least half of what we paid at the pizzeria. But I didn’t say anything because the women wanted to go out, chat, and enjoy the moment. In the end, we realized we weren’t just paying for the pizza, but for the experience and the company as well.

Despite this little “financial inconvenience,” what truly matters is celebrating life. My wife’s cousin is turning 29 years old, and that is definitely something worth celebrating.

Actually, the official birthday celebration will be tomorrow during a family lunch, and we’ve also been invited. Even so, today was already a special day, filled with good conversations, laughter, and enjoyable moments alongside someone very dear to us.

Hoje é aniversário da prima da minha esposa, a Gabi. Ela nos chamou para comer uma pizza para não deixar a data passar em branco. Minha esposa, que ama pizza, não pensou duas vezes antes de aceitar o convite. E eu, que já não sou tão fã dessas saídas, fui junto mesmo sabendo que, no fim das contas, a conta sempre sobra para os maridos. HUAHAUHAUA!

Enquanto estávamos lá, fiquei pensando que, se tivéssemos pedido a pizza pelo aplicativo, teríamos economizado pelo menos metade do valor que pagamos na pizzaria. Mas nem comentei nada, porque as mulheres queriam sair, conversar e aproveitar o momento. No fim, percebemos que não pagamos apenas pela pizza, mas pela experiência e pela companhia.

Apesar desse pequeno “inconveniente financeiro”, o mais importante é celebrar a vida. A prima da minha esposa está completando 29 anos, e isso merece ser comemorado.

Na verdade, a comemoração oficial do aniversário será amanhã, em um almoço em família para o qual também fomos convidados. Mesmo assim, hoje já foi um dia especial, cheio de boas conversas, risadas e momentos agradáveis ao lado de uma pessoa muito querida.
