Prologue:

Since I wrote an artist bio for each artist that co-created Legends, it is now time to write my own. I don't usually write about myself, so I will do my best to portray my attributes & background objectively.

@ELAmental: Truth Hop Emcee, Music Producer/Promoter, Sound Engineer, Merch Designer, Community Organizer, Professional Writer, & Entrepreneur - emitting messages of love, hope, & synergism for humanity & Earth mother Gaia, while also shedding light on oppression & outdated systems of governance. Living in freedom while TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION ALL LIVES. Reclaiming Hip Hop's true form - HIGHER INFINTIE POWER HEALING OUR PEOPLE.

ELAmental also focuses his music-activism in the realm of promoting new, more evolved, and for the people monetary and governance systems for a more free world. These experimental case-study practices garner fascinating lessons of abundance, wisdom only obtained through study, practice, sacrifice, and experience.

ELAmental is coming up on his 20th year crafting Hip Hop, & has never found another artform that satisfies his spirit in quite the same fashion. Born & raised in Vrigina, ELA has also lived on the west coast for over a decade, now a True Cascadian, with the full spectrum of East & West coast rap styles & influence. ELA is self taught in areas of sound engineering, production, & rap, & at one point even built his own studio from scratch, complete with a custom sound room & proper acoustics.

ELA's style is typically fast, hard hitting, & has the ability to string large scales of words together in very short time spaces with eloquent display. He also has the ability to slow down & pitch his vocals which provides a grip of versatility throughout his catalogue. Described as old school by his fans, ELA also applies the vibrations of a "futuristic mystic". One of ELA's most prominent staples as an artist is crafting a Truly Original Style with tasteful hints at his influences on the backbone.

ELAmental's attempts to re-ignite the Hip Hop culture in the Virginia area was met with little support, but after over a decade of persistence and a 3000+ move from his homeland stomping grounds, ELA was finally able to publish his first album in Oregon on 7/10/18: The Hex Wrecker, which he distributes for free (only available on Bandcamp).

ELAmental now has 3 "solo" albums (which all include featured collabs with other artists), & is the original initiator & co-founder of the Hip Hop group @kinofmerlin , who now have released their own group album. ELA & the Kin also have many other studio works currently in progress, & have shared stages and collaborated with some of the most prolific influencers in the Underground Hip Hop Activism Movement (too many to list).

If there is one thing ELA should be known for, it's putting the collective before himself. Collaboration & lifting up other artists is a major staple in all his musical & community efforts. There is not likely an artist out there that has interacted with ELA, that has not also benefited with Artistic growth via his influence - ELA is an abundance/success catalyst for many, & asks/expects little to nothing in return in most cases.

ELA has been able to thrive & support many in the face of a myriad of intensely difficult obstacles throughout his adult life & music career. However, ELA shines brightest when pushed to it - & pushes through every experience of perceived negativity with immense fortitude in the midst of some of the worst feelings. He developed this resilience by holding to heart a quote from his high school football coach: "If you're not actually injured, you PLAY THROUGH THE PAIN... for the TEAM." The Team... also picks us up when we get knocked down. ELA sends endless gratitude to the Kin for helping keep this ship afloat through all the faire and rocky seas alike.
