Today 03 of May 2023 we arrive at Seattle the Ruby Princess. My day started with a crew drill, it is a general drill mandated by a International Maritime law and today there was a coast guard who boarded the said vessel. The general drill started around 9:45am and last until 12:45nn. At this rate most crew are rushing to go ashore but the crew shore leave was granted late approximately 12nn exact. Under the coast guard drill who boarded the vessel they’re inspecting the process of the drill if the crew were following the proper procedure of doing all the emergency duties correctly and precisely. So one of the major procedure they’re inspecting was, on how to properly lower the lifeboat without compromising the time, because during the emergency time is crucial.

So this lowering of the lifeboat were gathered at the water and formed a circular routine. Ruby Princess has 24 lifeboat and 2 rescue boat so all lifeboat at the port side were deployed port side is a maritime term for left side of the ship. During the coasted guard drill most of the crew were anxious to be picked and ask by the coast guard personnel.

After the drill ended we managed to go ashore and we still have 3 hours before we start our duty, so means we need to come back to the ship before we start our work onboard at 3pm. So the original plan was to go and buy something from ROSS

a shopping center where all crew onboard buy their things and because of its affordable price especially when there is a promo at the said shopping center. And we managed to buy something we needed and dine in to one of the ASIAN CUISINE name PHO.

Food here are great which I ordered a Teriyaki chicken, this dish I ordered is worth it at the price of 15 usd your hunger or your tummy will satisfied. This mentioned Asian cuisine is only 5 minutes away from ROSS the shopping center. So time check

at 2:30 pm we take off from the restaurant and rushed back to the cruise terminal everyone of us are worried to get late to our duty onboard. And at exactly 3pm we managed to be on duty though we got 3 minutes late but it is still okay. Then our ship next port will be Vancouver, Canada. The Ruby Princess departed at 9:30pm a bit late the last guest were back at 9pm. And on the following day I heard there will be another coast guard drill a Canadian coast guard the last time was a American Coast guard. And at this rate I couldn’t manage to go onshore to the following day it is because I got assigned an IPM means In Port Manning a special assignment for the crew to be left behind and be a watch keeper, in case of any emergency we are the one first to respond to any situation. So today blog will be until here and I hope stay with me and wait my another daily content. Thank You.
