Random on the third Sunday

avatar

This Sunday post will be my contribution to #sublimesunday initiated by @c0ff33a, #beautifulsunday initiated by @ace108, and my #sundayrandom where I share my random macro shots.

Well well, here we are again on a beautiful and sublime Sunday, and this is already the third Sunday in the second month of 2025. Time flies so fast, isn't it? How have things gone so far in this new year? I hope that you are all on the path of reaching your goal, despite all the ups and downs in the whole crypto world.

I am back with my random macro shots for this Sunday, and I have a few species that I have for you to enjoy this Sunday. In this Sunday random I would like to show you some of the random species that I managed to photograph, and because of their skittish nature, sometime I could only capture one or two shots for the same species, so it would not be fit to be used in one post, so I compile them and use it as the subject for this Sunday random series.

The first species that I have today, is this soldier fly, which unfortunately rested almost on the base of this wedellia plant, I managed to only get this shot, because as soon as I tried to get another shot from another angel, it just flew away.

The second one is this insect carcass, maybe a bee judging from the hairs on its body, but it could also be one of the bees-imitating-fly. It was wrapped in some spider web, so I guess it was once the prey of a spider. so unfortunate for this insect, and also, unfortunately, I only took one shot and then distracted by the other insect.

Not far from that place, I saw this stick spider with its web on the background.

But as you can guess, I could not get as many photos as I like from this guy because it decided to fall down when I tried to get another photo from another angel, abandoning its web.

The last species that I have today is this beetle, this might be one of the jewel beetles. Love the shiny color of its back.

I wish I could get more photos of this beetle because of its beautiful color and also its lovely shape but it was turning away from me when I tried to get more photos of this guy, so i could only get the photo from the side, and then from from the back. Then after that it just flew away.

Quite a variety of insects you found! The spider web with the insect carcass is a fascinating image. It's a reminder of the delicate balance of nature.
