PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography - Thank you for staying around

I think this is the first time I will say my gratitude towards a pest that has been staying around my garden plant for quite some time. because usually, I will try my best to get rid of it before it ruins my garden plants for good because it always sucks to see that the plant that you care about and wish to be able to be used as your meal goes bad because of this insect.

I think this will be my exception since I am still happy to see this little guy wandering around my garden plant. Also, I am not really sure, why it only likes to stay in the spinach plant, which grows a little bit wildly in my polybag. And I think it was also the reason I kept it alive, since it was around but stayed away from my bok choi and the morning glory that I planted.

This is the kind of the stink bug I think, and since I didn't disturb it too much, it didn't try to defend itself and secreted its foul smell to get rid of me if it feels that I was a threat.

Although it didn't feel threatened, still it moved up and down the leaves, so I have to keep track of its movement to be able to take some photos of it.

You can compare its size with the tip of my fingers that you can see in the left side of this photo.
