I am ugly but functional

I know you will hate this creature so much when you sit outside or in the park trying to have a great time, maybe having a little picnic with some food around. And soon enough this uninvited creature will come to say hello to you, and hard to chase them out.

Yes, the fly seems to have a powerful sense of smell because they know very much when you are taking out your food. They are very annoying, and the image of them as disease carriers makes them hated a lot.

The hair on their body also adds some degree of ugliness to their image, yet they have a lot of functions for the environment. One thing that benefits us, is they are also one of the alternatives pollinator for the plant. Who knows the ingredient of your food was pollinated by the ugly fly. : )

They can also be a predator of some pests in the environment. And also they serve a purpose as the prey for the other creature to keep the food chain going.

And then they also very good decomposers, especially in the larvae stage of their life.
