The Illusion of the Absolute ESP/ENG

Covered by the illusory veil of sanity, it has happened to me often that I am certain that what my mind thinks is reality, that what my brain registers is the truth, and yet there are countless times when reality wavers in a direction that was not the one my mind took in the first place.

Tapados por el velo ilusorio de la cordura, me ha pasado mucho que estoy seguro de que lo que mi mente piensa es la realidad, de que lo que mi cerebro registra es la verdad; y son innumerables las veces que la realidad se tambalea en una dirección que no fue la que mi mente tomó en un primer lugar.

Our mind, just like artificial intelligence, is perfectly adapted to make us feel secure and stable, with the certainty of where the ground is. It is efficient in letting us know the distance from our hand to the ground, but it is not absolute despite feeling absolute, nor is it infallible despite sounding plausible.

Nuestra mente, así como la inteligencia artificial, está perfectamente adaptada para hacernos sentir seguros, estables, con la certeza de dónde está el suelo; y es eficiente en hacernos saber la distancia a la que está mi mano del suelo, pero no es absoluta a pesar de que se siente absoluta, ni es infalible a pesar de que se escuche plausible.

The discrepancies of minds that experience parallel worlds are real; everything is real, but nothing is absolute.
