Reconnecting with the Light: New Profile Pictures

My partner and I decided to renew our profile pictures for ones that represent us better at this moment. It was her idea, especially to renew them because we are currently setting up our project in a more independent way this year, and we are planning all the aspects, one of which involves how we want to market ourselves.

Mi pareja y yo decidimos renovar nuestras fotos de perfil por unas que nos identifiquen más en este momento. Fue una idea de ella, especialmente renovarlas porque ahorita estamos montando nuestro proyecto de una forma más independiente este año y estamos planificando todos los aspectos, y uno de ellos trata sobre cómo nos queremos vender.

I’ve had several profile pictures that I liked a lot and with which I felt quite identified at the time I took them, but it is true that I haven’t shown—or at least not in a professional way—that side of me that is a bit more eccentric. Paola likes the photos I used to take using light painting, and obviously, I like them too, but let's just say I stopped practicing them because of the technical complexity required for the technique to work.

He pasado por varias fotos de perfil que me han gustado mucho y con las que me he sentido bastante identificado en los momentos en los que las hice, pero sí es cierto que no he mostrado —o por lo menos no de forma profesional— ese aspecto mío que es un poco más extraño. A Paola le gustan las fotos que yo hacía antes usando lightpainting y a mí obviamente también me gustan, pero digamos que he dejado de practicarlas por la complicación técnica necesaria para que la técnica funcione.

I truly enjoyed these photos and reconnected with that area of photography that I like so much. Some of the photos are the ones I want to show you today.
