On spontaneity and the risk of being yourself ESP/ENG

I love spontaneous people—
the ones with wild ideas,
the ones who break the order of the room
and stir things up just by being there.
I can definitely relate to that.
Right now, I’m playing D&D with some friends at home,
and I play a monk who’s super impulsive.
He acts with total confidence,
causing hilarious and dangerous situations
that somehow give rhythm and energy to the sessions.

Me encanta la gente espontánea, que tiene ocurrencias,
que rompe el orden de la habitación
y provoca un accionar en el entorno.
Yo me puedo definir un poco con ello.
Actualmente juego DnD con un grupo de amigos en mi casa
e interpreto un monje que es muy impulsivo,
actúa seguro de su accionar, provocando situaciones muy cómicas y peligrosas
pero que terminan dándole dinamismo a las sesiones y ritmo.

Of course, not everyone is into that kind of energy.
Some people feel vulnerable in unpredictable settings—
and that’s totally valid.
Not everyone fits into every group,
and not every group is for everyone.

Hay personas que no les gusta ese tipo de dinámicas,
se sienten vulnerables frente a estas situaciones,
y eso está bien.
No todas las personas encajan en todas partes o en todos los grupos.

I really like couples who play with these “characters,”
like the groom from this wedding,
who constantly makes sudden gestures—
and it’s beautiful to see how his partner
receives all of it with joy.

Me gustan estas parejas que tienen estos “personajes”,
como el novio de esta boda
que gestualiza cosas de forma repentina,
y es lindo ver cómo su pareja recibe esto con mucho agrado.

Spontaneity is hard to capture.
A second too late—
you miss the gesture, the spark, the moment.
Even though I love it and I genuinely am that way,
I can’t always catch it with my camera.

La espontaneidad es algo difícil de capturar.
Con que pase un segundo y te despiste,
el momento o gesto se perdió.
Y a pesar de que me gusta y soy genuinamente así,
no siempre logro capturarla.
