Office Photoshoot – Creating Visual Identity ESP/ENG

I took these photos for the company where my partner @paholamarin works. They needed the images for their website and to refresh their corporate image, as well as to have material to work with for future design projects.

Estas fotos las hice para la empresa en la que trabaja mi pareja @paholamarin. Son fotos que van a utilizar para su página web, las necesitaban para ajustar la imagen de su empresa y también para tener material con el cual trabajar para el diseño.

Before this session, they weren’t really sure where to take the photos, and they were suggesting using a plain gray backdrop. Obviously, I immediately said no, because I had a better solution — using their actual office. By shooting from a certain angle and with the right lens, we could capture a professional image with their company logo slightly blurred in the background, along with some natural work environment details. It worked out perfectly, especially since the office is quite nice.

Antes de esta sesión de fotos no tenían claro dónde se podían tomar las fotos de la empresa y me estaban proponiendo usar un fondo sencillo color gris, a lo que respondí que obviamente no, porque tenía la solución: utilizar la oficina. Tomando la foto desde un ángulo y con un lente adecuado, se verían bien con el logo de la empresa atrás desenfocado y un poco de ambiente de trabajo. Era lo mejor porque, además, es una linda oficina.

It’s hard for me to understand how some people think about photography. It’s surprising that these kinds of solutions, which seem so obvious to me and to any other photographer, don’t even cross their minds. But honestly, the best thing any company can do is to consult with a professional photographer.

Me cuesta entender cómo piensan muchas personas acerca de la fotografía, porque no se les ocurren este tipo de soluciones que para mí y cualquier otro fotógrafo pueden llegar a ser obvias. Pero sin duda, lo mejor que puede hacer una empresa es asesorarse.
