Modernity and Beauty Standards ESP/ENG

Modern times bring several changes regarding beauty and its canon, but there are places where this doesn't change much, as is the case in my country where blonde girls remain the beauty standard.

I personally realize that I often draw people of color, and I'm not entirely sure why, but it's a phenotype that has an interesting appeal to me and that I like, but I feel it's also something influenced by modernity.

I believe one never creates something from nothing, and that often if it comes from your imagination, it's because you're being influenced by it in one way or another, so clearly this tendency of mine to notice certain features in people of color is something that is influenced.

I don't think influences are good or bad per se, but I do believe it's important to identify where your inspiration comes from and thus be able to generate a stronger narrative.
