Flow Like Water ESP/ENG

The movement of water has always hypnotized me. It comes and goes, forming small waves, large waves, breaking apart, then regrouping again. And you might be wondering, what does that have to do with these photos of a woman?

El movimiento del agua es algo que siempre me ha hipnotizado. Va y viene, forma olas pequeñas, olas grandes, rompen su movimiento saliéndose de sí y reagrupándose también. Y ustedes se preguntarán, ¿qué tiene esto que ver con estas fotos de una chica?

I think life behaves just like water. These photos were taken for corporate use, but it’s been a while since I’ve done this kind of photography. I feel like my lighting style doesn’t fully match the typical corporate look—where there are three points of light and a completely white background. Instead, my lighting is darker, emphasizing form and creating clear separations through shadow. But I’ve stopped worrying about strictly adhering to those traditional styles because they don’t come naturally to me. In the end, I always gravitate toward the things that I genuinely enjoy.

La vida creo que se comporta igual que el agua. Estas fotos son para un uso corporativo, pero tengo tiempo que no hago ese tipo de fotos. Siento que mi estilo de iluminación no se ajusta del todo al tipo de iluminación que usualmente se usa para ello, donde existen tres puntos de luz y el fondo es completamente blanco. Por el contrario, mi estilo de iluminación es más oscuro, y me gusta que las formas se puedan observar y tengan una división clara por la sombra. Pero me ha dejado de importar ajustarme al pie de la letra a esos estilos, porque siento que no me salen del todo bien, y es porque termino buscando esas cosas que me gustan.

The analogy with water comes in when I think about the ups and downs of life. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is stay still and let the water regulate itself.

La analogía con el agua la veo en que la vida tiene saltos y caídas, y uno tiene que entender dentro de sí que a veces lo que tienes que hacer es no moverte y dejar que el agua, por sí sola, se regule.
