Early Days: Photography, Passion, and a Path Unfolding

I've always been a person with very high energy peaks, especially when I like something and have free time to do it. When I took these photographs, I was discovering Photoshop, working in a display window, and there were moments when there was nothing to do but photograph things or my former coworkers.

Siempre he sido una persona con picos de energía muy altos, sobre todo cuando algo me gusta y tengo tiempo libre para hacerlo. Cuando hice estas fotografías estaba descubriendo Photoshop, trabajaba en una vitrina y había momentos donde no había nada que hacer, salvo así que me ponía a fotografiar cosas o fotografiaba a mis excompañeros de trabajo.

It's a shame I didn't save the original files of these photos because they are an interesting archive for me, and I'm sure I would edit them differently now. Back then, I was very obsessed with lighting, both with flash and with a flashlight I used for long exposure photos.

Es una lástima que no guardara los archivos originales de estas fotos porque son un archivo interesante para mí y que seguro ahora editaría de una forma diferente. En ese entonces me obsesionaba mucho la iluminación tanto de flash como de una linterna que utilizaba para tomar fotos en larga exposición.

That was my start in "professional" photography, and I say "professional" in quotes because, even though I did my job very well and they were very happy with me, that store I worked for was a pretty mediocre franchise, to be honest. But for me, it was perfect for experimenting a lot and defining my path with a little more clarity at that time.

Ese fue mi inicio en la fotografía "profesional", y lo digo entre comillas porque a pesar de que yo hacía muy bien mi trabajo y estaban muy contentos conmigo, esa tienda para la que trabajaba era de una franquicia bastante mediocre, a decir verdad. Pero para mí fue perfecto para experimentar mucho y definir mi camino con un poco más de claridad para ese momento.
