Chasing the Light ESP/ENG

Seeking light is a natural activity for a photographer. All photographers, at all times, are perceiving light—observing what it conveys internally, how it falls on a subject, and whether it enhances the image aesthetically. However, this search for light becomes a unique process for each photographer.

Buscar la luz es una actividad natural para un fotógrafo. Todos los fotógrafos en todo momento están percibiendo la luz y observando qué les transmite internamente o si incide de forma agradable en la imagen, etc. Pero esta búsqueda de la luz se vuelve particular para cada fotógrafo.

These particular shots had no clear source of "natural" light. There was a regular streetlight, but it wasn’t strong enough. Personally, I love when there’s no light because it allows me to play with flashes, setting up my lighting completely freely without external sources interfering with my composition.

Estas fotos en particular no tenían ninguna luz "natural" que incidiera en ellas de forma clara. Había una luz de faro de calle normal, pero esta no tenía mucha potencia, y a mí me encanta cuando no hay luz porque puedo jugar con los flashes para crear mi seteo de luces con total libertad, sin que una luz externa entorpezca mi disposición de luces.

I loved the photos I took for this quinceañera. The background I chose—the street across from the event venue—had this lush green wall, which was already beautiful on its own. But my satisfaction came from capturing the interplay of shadows and highlights, something that particularly fascinates me.

Las fotos que hice para esta quinceañera me encantaron porque el fondo que elegí, que era la calle de enfrente del lugar donde fue el evento, tenía esta pared vegetal que obviamente tiene una belleza per se. Pero mi satisfacción llega por haber encontrado estos picos de sombras y brillos que particularmente me llaman.

It's always great when I find things I love in situations where I least expect them. To be honest, quinceañera events don’t excite me as much as other types of shoots, but I enjoy making the most of the spaces and elements available to me. It makes me happy to keep creating.

Es bueno cuando consigo cosas que me gustan en situaciones donde no las espero. Los 15 años no son un evento que me apasione tanto, a decir verdad, pero me gusta poder aprovechar los espacios que tengo a disposición, con lo que tengo a disposición, y me alegra seguir creando.
