Building Trust Through the Lens ESP/ENG

When I started doing pregnancy photography, I remember feeling quite insecure. I was also younger and therefore looked more inexperienced, which meant pregnant women didn't feel very confident with me, and I had to learn how to build that trust.

Cuando empecé a hacer fotografía de embarazadas, recuerdo que me sentía bastante inseguro. Pero también era más joven y, por ende, me veía más inexperto, por ello las mujeres embarazadas no se sentían muy confiadas conmigo y fui aprendiendo a cómo generar esa confianza.

Lately, I do it with so much confidence that I don't give them much of a chance to notice my youthful appearance, so they quickly feel secure. It's something I really like because I've been refining it to be more fluid and to avoid going through that part where they're doubtful.

Últimamente lo hago con tanta seguridad que no les doy mucho chance a que observen que mi apariencia es jovial, así que se sienten seguras rápidamente. Es algo que me gusta mucho porque lo he ido curando para que sea más fluido siempre y no pasar por esa parte donde están dudosas.

Contact with children is also something that helps me, as I always lead them through the conversation. Since I have twins, you could say my contact with babies and children has been greater, as I also work from home and spend a lot of time with my daughters.

El contacto con niños también es algo que me ayuda, porque siempre los llevo por esa conversación. Como tuve gemelas, digamos que mi contacto con bebés y niños ha sido mayor porque, además, trabajo en casa y paso mucho tiempo con mis hijas.

Photographing women who already have children is always nice. I know how to handle myself with kids and I know the shows they watch or the music they like, so I always have an advantage where I can deal with the parents and their children without it being awkward.

Fotografiar mujeres que ya tienen niños es siempre agradable. Sé manejarme con niños y conozco las series que ven o la música que les gusta, así que siempre tengo un tramo ganado donde puedo tratar con los padres y sus hijos sin que sea incómodo.
