Definitivamente a veces hace falta escapar de la rutina semanal porque sabemos que sin duda se vuelve un poco pesada y el cuerpo lo siente sobre todo cuando ya pasaste los 40 ja ja ja… Casi por instinto el cuerpo y la mente pide un respiro. Este pasado domingo desperté y quise irme a caminar un rato y así despejar la mente, salir a caminar sin ningún apuro y dejar que el aire de la costa hiciera su trabajo de renovar las ideas.

Sometimes you definitely need to escape the weekly routine because we know it can definitely get a little tedious, and your body really feels it especially once you’re past 40, ha ha ha… Almost instinctively, your body and mind crave a break. This past Sunday, I woke up and wanted to go for a walk to clear my head to go out for a leisurely stroll and let the coastal air do its job of refreshing my thoughts.

Que les puedo decir, por supuesto que aproveché de tomar algunas fotos mientras caminaba y otra sin mentirles, fue cuando me retiraba de mi caminata la cual creo que la tomaré para hacerlo más seguido. Me despejo y hago algo de deporte que también me hace falta. Nuestra cinta costera tiene esa forma particular de poner todo en perspectiva y al recorrer la orilla me encontré con varias escenas que llamaron mi atención como por ejemplo viejas embarcaciones descansando sobre la arena, barcos olvidados que el tiempo y el salitre han ido transformando en parte del propio entorno, y pescadores solitarios contemplando su pesca.

What can I say? Of course I took the opportunity to snap a few photos while I was walking, and to be honest I took another one as I was wrapping up my walk, which I think I’ll start doing more often. It clears my head and gives me some exercise, which I really need. Our coastal path has this unique way of putting everything into perspective, and as I walked along the shore, I came across several scenes that caught my attention such as old boats resting on the sand, forgotten vessels that time and salt spray have gradually transformed into part of the landscape itself, and solitary fishermen contemplating their catch.

Me agrada este tipo de fotos porque se puede encontrar algo poético en el mar y en la tranquilidad que transmite la inmensidad del agua. Siento que la fotografía en blanco y negro resalta la textura de la madera, de las rocas y las sombras dejando de lado cualquier distracción para quienes las admira. Pero en fin, fue un paseo sencillo, pero suficiente para recargar energías y comenzar la nueva semana con la mente más clara. Espero que disfruten de esta sesión de fotos tanto como yo disfruté el recorrido.

I like this kind of photo because there’s something poetic about the sea and the tranquility conveyed by the vastness of the water. I feel that black-and-white photography highlights the texture of the wood, the rocks, and the shadows, eliminating any distractions for those who admire them. Anyway, it was a simple outing, but enough to recharge my batteries and start the new week with a clearer mind. I hope you enjoy this photo shoot as much as I enjoyed the walk.
