Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. The Codex of Destiny. Part 1. [ENG+ESP]

Greetings fellow digital adrenaline junkies. A few days ago I started my adventure in a game called Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. So today I bring you a continuation of my journey into this new world and my first foray into a dungeon.

In the previous episode I had arrived at the first village and found a group of people watching an Elf writhing in pain on the ground. Apparently the Elf had been poisoned, but since it's not part of the main story I didn't want to dig too much into the matter. My current mission was to reach the house of Airen who was a weaver of destiny that could help me find out what my purpose in this world was. But before going there I had to equip some clothes that the game gives to new players.

Saludos amigos adictos de la adrenalina digital. Hace unos días dio comienzo mi aventura en un juego titulado Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Así que el día de hoy les traigo una continuación de mi viaje dentro de este nuevo mundo y mi primera incursión en una mazmorra.

En el episodio anterior había llegado a la primera aldea y me había encontrado a un grupo de personas mirando como una Elfa se retorcía de dolor en el piso. Al parecer la Elfa había sido envenenada, pero como no forma parte de la historia principal no quera indagar mucho en el asunto. Mi misión actual era legar hasta la casa de Airen el cual era un tejedor del destino que me podría a ayudar a averiguar cuál era mi propósito en este mundo. Pero antes de dirigirme allá tenía que equiparme algunas vestimentas que regala el juego a los nuevos jugadores.

Muy cerca de la aldea me encontré otra piedra cantora, la cual, según me contaron, si encuentro todas las de un mismo tipo recibiré una bonificación permanente. También tuve la oportunidad de proba mi nuevo equipamiento con algunos duendes del bosque que tuvieron la mal suerte de encontrarse conmigo.

The goblins left me with the desire to fight, as they died very easily, but luckily later I met a hunter who had an interesting proposal. The hunter by the name of Penri Kell told me that if I hunted 4 antelopes and put their heads on pedestals, a troll would appear and would be a worthy opponent. Honestly, I have nothing against antelopes, but the thought of being able to take on that troll made me excited.

Los duendes me dejaron con las ganas de combatir, ya que murieron con mucha facilidad, pero por suerte más adelante me encontré con una cazadora que tenía una propuesta interesante. La cazadora de nombre, Penri Kell, me contó que si cazaba 4 antílopes y clocaba sus cabezas en unos pedestales aparecería un trol que sería un digno oponente. Sinceramente, no tengo nada en contra de los antílopes, pero la idea de poder enfrentarme a ese troll hizo que me emocionara.

Once the four antelope heads were gathered, I placed them on the pedestal indicated by the hunter and immediately the huge troll made an appearance. As I imagined, the troll was huge, but after a few critical hits I put it to sleep belly up permanently.

Una vez reunidas las 4 cabezas de los antílopes las coloqué en el pedestal que me indico la cazadora e inmediatamente el enorme troll hizo acto de presencia. Como imaginaba, el trol era enorme, pero luego de unos cuantos golpes críticos lo puse a dormir panza para arriba permanentemente.

After my fight against the troll, I advanced a little further until I finally arrived at Airen's house. But I was extremely surprised when I opened the door and saw an elf looking at Airen's lifeless body. She seems to know me from my previous life, she tells me that she can help me in my search and assures me that she was not the cause of the murder. In a second she disappears before my eyes as I feel the presence of Agarth (the first fortune teller I met when I left the tower where I revived). Agarth had come here because he felt the death of his friend and after telling him what happened he decides to accompany me to prevent more innocents from dying.

Luego de mi lucha contra el troll avanzo un poco más hasta llegar por fin a la casa Airen. Pero quedé sumamente sorprendido al abrir la puerta y ver a una elfa observando el cuerpo sin vida de Airen. Dicha Elfa parece conocerme de mi vida anterior, me cuenta que puede ayudarme en mi búsqueda y me asegura que ella no fue la causante del asesinato. En un segundo desaparece ante mis ojos al sentir la presencia de Agarth (el primer adivino que me encontré al salir de la torre donde reviví). Agarth había venido hasta aquí porque sintió la muerte de su amigo y tras contarle lo sucedido decide acompañarme para así evitar que mueran más inocentes.

My objective had completely changed. Now I had to reach some ruins abandoned and forgotten by the mortal races. These ruins connected with "The theater of Sino" in which "The Codex of Destiny" was found. This codex would be the key to reveal what I had to do with my new life.

My journey to the ruins was full of surprises. As I walked I faced giant spiders, wolves and found more singing stones, but these were of a different type than the previous ones. I also encountered some ogres who did not hesitate to attack me and as usual I put them to sleep permanently.

Mi objetivo había cambiado por completo. Ahora tenía que llegar hasta unas ruinas abandonadas y olvidadas por las razas mortales. Dichas ruinas conectaban con “El teatro del Sino” en el cual se encontraba “El Códice del Destino”. Dicho códice sería la clave para desvelar que tenía que hacer con mi nueva vida.

Mi viaje hasta las ruinas estuvo lleno de sorpresas. Mientras caminaba me enfrenté a arañas gigantes, lobos y encontré más piedras cantoras, pero estas ya eran de un tipo distinto a las anteriores. También me topé con unos ogros los cuales no dudaron en atacarme y como es costumbre los puse a dormir permanentemente.

When I arrived at the ruins I entered them in the company of Agarth. Finally I began my incursion into one of the many dungeons that could be found on the map. Inside the corridors of this cavern there were plenty of enemies, especially ogres and the wolves they breed.

Cuando llegué a las ruinas me adentré en ellas en compañía de Agarth. Por fin empezaba mi incursión en una de las tantas mazmorras que se podían encontrar en el mapa. Dentro de los pasillos de esta caverna abundaban los enemigos destacando los ogros y los lobos que estos crían.

After going through a magical door, I was ambushed by a group of amphibious humanoids, which attacked very fast and outnumbered me. Due to these adverse conditions I was forced to use my accumulated fate energy to go into a frenzy and finish them off. I would regret this decision later on when facing a mini-boss, which gave me quite a fight, as it was immune to elemental damage.

Luego de atravesar una puerta mágica, fui emboscado por un grupo de humanoides anfibios, los cuales atacaban muy rápido y me superaban en número. Debido a estas condiciones adversas me vi obligado a usar la energía del sino acumulada para entrar en frenesí y acabar con ellos. Esta decisión la lamentaría más adelante al enfrentarme a un mini jefe, el cual me dio bastante pelea, ya que era inmune al daño elemental.

After going through Dellach and eliminating all the obstacles, I had finally arrived at the Theater of Destiny, an imposing structure that stood in front of my eyes. All that remained was to go there and obtain the Codex of Destiny, but when we arrived we realized that the antechamber of the theater was guarded by demons called "Bloody Niskarus". These beings are extremely annoying in combat, as they prefer to attack at once and from behind.

Tras de recorrer toda Dellach y eliminar todos los obstáculos, por fin había llegado al Teatro del Sino, una imponente estructura que ser erguía frente a mis ojos. Solo quedaba ir hasta allá y obtener el Códice del Destino, pero al llegar nos percatamos de que la antesala del teatro estaba custodiada por unos demonios llamados “Niskarus Sangrientos”. Estos seres son extremadamente molestos en combate, pues prefieren atacar a la vez y por la espalda.

When I finally eliminated the Niskarus I could go to the center of the theater and interact with the monolith that guarded the codex. When I touched the monolith a very bright light started to surround me and... To be continued...

Cuando por fin elimine a los Niskarus puede dirigirme al centro del teatro e interactuar con el monolito que resguardaba el códice. Al tocar el monolito una luces muy brillantes empezaron a rodearme y… Continuará…
