Today begins a new adventure and this time it will be playing an installment that although it was released in 2012, it received a remastering in 2020. So today I will start a new adventure diary where I will show the most striking things I find while I travel the hidden corners of the world of Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning.

Hoy comienza una nueva aventura y esta vez será jugando una entrega que si bien fue lanzada en el 2012, recibió una remasterización en el 2020. Así que el día de hoy daré comienzo a un nuevo diario de aventuras donde mostraré lo más llamativo que me encuentre mientras recorro los recónditos rincones del mundo de Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning.

Capítulo 1: El origen

My adventure begins when I wake up on top of a huge pile of rotting corpses. As I understand it my body was the victim of some kind of experiment, but sshhh let's not tell the character.

Mi aventura comienza al despertar encima de una enorme pila de cadáveres putrefactos. Según tengo entendido mi cuerpo fue víctima de algún tipo de experimento, pero sshhh no se lo digamos al personaje.

After walking around a bit and burning a skeleton in the incinerator, I get my first weapon. I got a sword that I immediately tested against some huge mutant rats.

Luego de andar un poco y de quemar un esqueleto en el incinerador, consigo mi primera arma. Obtuve una espada que inmediatamente probé contra unas ratas mutantes enormes.

As the rats were too easy, I continue advancing and I meet some tathua (apparently that's the name of the enemies) who want to eliminate a dwarf. Immediately, I throw myself into combat and after eliminating them, the dwarf confesses to me that I am the product of an experiment to achieve immortality. He also tells me to accompany him to where the well of souls is and also my creator, so to speak.

Como las ratas fueron demasiado fácil, continuo avanzando y me encuentro con unos tathua (al parecer así se llaman los enemigos) queriendo eliminar a un enano. Inmediatamente, me lanzo al combate y tras eliminarlos el enano me confiesa que yo soy producto de un experimento para alcanzar la inmortalidad. También me dice que lo acompañe hasta donde está el pozo de almas y también mi creador por llamarlo de alguna forma.

As I accompany the dwarf I get my first shield and do not hesitate to use it against the enemies attacking me. Although from the beginning I felt that the real killing intentions were directed at the dwarf and not at me.

Mientras acompaño al enano consigo mi primer escudo y no dudo en utilizarlo contra los enemigos que me atacan. Aunque desde un principio sentí que las verdaderas intenciones de asesinato iban dirigidas al enano y no a mí.

Later I check if I have magic and, yes, I do. This last thing astonishes the dwarf who tells me, that will be very useful to be able to pass through the nest of spiders ahead. Incredibly, they did, I just had to put them to sleep and set fire to the nest.

Más adelante compruebo si poseo magia y, pues sí, si la poseo. Esto último deja atónita al enano el cual me dice, eso será muy útil para poder pasar por el nido de arañas que hay delante. Yo le dije que o había problema, que con par de caricias y un poco de iluminación artificial las arañas nos dejarían pasar. Increíblemente, fue así, solo tuve que ponerlas a dormir y prenderle fuego al nido.

When I finally reach the "Well of Souls" I can meet the one who brought me back to life, but the joy would be short-lived, because he had to sacrifice himself so that I could escape. Although well as such, I would not call escape to have to face a kind of giant cave troll. The troll as such was quite a worthy adversary, but he fell before my dodging skills acquired playing the Souls saga.

Cuando por fin llego al “Pozo de Almas” puede conocer al que me devolvió la vida, pero la alegría duraría poco, pues este tuvo que sacrificarse para que yo lograse escapar. Aunque bueno como tal, yo no llamaría escapar a tener que enfrentarme a una especie de trol de las cavernas gigantes. El troll como tal fue un adversario bastante digno, pero cayó antes mis habilidades de esquivar adquiridas jugando la saga Souls.

When I finally manage to escape from the tower I find that the outside is the typical elven enchanted forest in which I'm sure there are unfriendly creatures. But as soon as I take two steps I find a bear trying to eat a dwarf. After putting the bear to sleep I talk to the dwarf and using my persuasion skills, I manage to learn that the experiment was carried out by three dwarves and that he was one of them. Another thing I managed to get out of him was a confession where he admitted to having been the one who betrayed the other two and leaked information about the location of the "Weapon Pit". It goes without saying that he was put to sleep immediately and in the open air, without burial or flowers or anything else, because that is how cowards and traitors must lie.

Cuando por fin logro escapar de la torre me encuentro conque el exterior es el típico bosque encantado élfico en el cual seguro habitan criaturas nada amigables. Pero a penas doy dos pasos me encuentro con un oso queriéndose merendar a un enano. Luego de poner a dormir al oso converso con el enano y usando mis habilidades de persuasión, logro enterarme de que el experimento era llevado a cabo por tres enanos y que él era uno de ellos. Otra cosa que ogro sacarle también fue una confesión done admite haber sido quien traiciono al los otros dos y filtro información sobre la ubicación del “Pozo de Armas”. Está de sobra decir que lo use a dormir inmediatamente y al aire libre, sin entierro ni flores ni nada, porque así han de yacer los cobardes y traidores.

Later, on my way I meet a destiny weaver who claims to be a friend of the dwarf who brought me back to life and assures me that he will help me find out what my new purpose in life is. Making use of his seer abilities he reveals to me that I don't have a specific destiny, which means that I can change it at will (Spoiler: I will). So after fighting some enemies that come after me I discover that I have a new power similar to a frenzy of Sino (magical energy that weaves destiny).

Más adelante, en mi camino me encuentro con un tejedor del destino que dice ser amigo del enano que me devolvió la vida y asegura que me ayudará a averiguar cuál es mi nuevo propósito en la vida. Haciendo uso de sus habilidades de vidente me desvela que no poseo un destino específico, lo cual quiere decir que puedo cambiarlo a voluntad (Espóiler: Lo haré). Así que tras combatir con algunos enemigos que vienen a por mí descubro que tengo un nuevo poder parecido a un frenesí del Sino (Energía mágica que teje el destino).

Once the fight is over, the seer tells me to go to the next town where a person will be waiting for me. On the way I find a kind of singing stone and a chest. I also see something that looks like a bull and next to it a kind of wooden goblin who asks me to tell him a joke. All very strange, but not as strange as when I get to the village I see everyone gathered around an Elf who is lying on the ground moaning in pain.

Una vez acabada la contienda el vidente me dice que me dirija al próximo pueblo donde una persona me estará esperando. Por el camino me encuentro una especie de piedra cantora y un cofre. También veo algo que parece un toro y a su lado una especie de duende de madera que me pide que le cuente un chiste. Todo muy raro, pero no tan raro como que al llegar al pueblo veo a todos reunidos alrededor de una Elfa que está tendida en el piso gimiendo de dolor.
