Hello black and white and street photography lovers. After some time of absence in the community I return with new proposals and renewed energy. Not new new, but different. These shots reflect a small portion of daily life in the city, specifically Havana. In this city, as in most cities and towns in this country, there are always people on the street, and usually solving critical problems due to the current economic situation. However, for as long as I can remember I have always seen many people on the streets talking, hanging out, waiting in lines, having a drink, solving things and not exactly working. It has been commonplace in Cuba for a long time. Sometimes I ask myself, and I also include myself, what time do people work here? It's a mystery really.

It's different now because a lot of people work on the phone while they are anywhere. Twenty years ago it wasn't like that and there were also many people on the street. It's a tradition here, Cubans like human contact, socializing closely, talking in groups. Unfortunately, nowadays most of the people are in the streets making long lines to buy everything they need, food, fuel, paperwork and many other things. Hola apasionados del blanco y negro y de la fotografía callejera. Tras un tiempo de ausencia en la comunidad regreso con nuevas propuestas y energías renovadas. Nuevas nuevas no, pero si distintas. Estas tomas reflejan una pequeña porción de la vida cotidiana en la ciudad, La Habana específicamente. En esta ciudad, como en la mayoría de las ciudades y pueblos de este país, siempre hay gente en la calle, y por lo general resolviendo problemas críticos por la situación económica actual. Sin embargo desde que tengo memoria siempre he visto mucha gente en las calles conversando, pasando el rato, haciendo colas, tomando un trago, resolviendo cosas y no precisamente trabajando. Es algo común en Cuba desde hace mucho. En ocasiones me pregunto, y también me incluyo, ¿en qué horario trabaja la gente aquí? Es un misterio realmente. Ahora es diferente porque mucha gente trabaja a través del teléfono estando en cualquier lugar. Hace 20 años atrás no era así y también había mucha gente en la calle. Es un tradición de aquí, al cubano le gusta el contacto humano, socializar de cerca, conversar en grupo. Por desgracia en los tiempos que corren la mayoría de las personas están en las calles haciendo largas filas para comprar de todo lo indispensable, alimentos, combustibles, trámites y otras muchas cosas.
