SATURDAY, FAIR AND PARTY || Monomad

Hello friends of photography and especially of black and white. Saturday, fair and party is what I share on this occasion. It is a fair that takes place once a month in a very beautiful place, La Quinta de los Molinos, here in Havana.

It is considered a national monument and is of great importance for having been the residence of the Captains General during the colonial period, it was also the residence of the hero Máximo Gómez, whose museum with the same name lies inside and for housing the Botanical Garden of Havana. But what concerns us here is the event that takes place there on a Saturday night. A handicraft fair and a space for dancing converge there, which is what I like the most about it. There is a healthy atmosphere, a lot of social exchange, good energy and interaction.

The people who attend the place are of a wide variety of ages, from teenagers to senior citizens, it's really a great time. Music from the 70's, 80's to the most current music surrounds the event. What I liked the most of the whole night was the choreography that we all danced, including myself, when they played several songs from the 70's and 80's, it was great to see so many people of different ages and styles come together in one dance. On the other hand I want to show you a series of photographs, with which I want to make my entry to the daily challenge #monomad, which are for me a bit risky, they are at night and in half light. I incorporated an almost sepia tone to harmonize with the colonial style of the place and its era. I hope you like this proposal, see you!

! [Spanish]Hola amigos de la fotografía y especialmente del blanco y negro. Sábado, feria y fiesta es lo que comparto en esta ocasión. Se trata de una feria que se realiza una vez por mes en un lugar muy hermoso, La Quinta de los Molinos, acá en la La Habana. Es considerado monumento nacional y tiene gran importancia por haber sido la residencia de los Capitanes Generales durante el período colonial, fue residencia además del prócer Máximo Gómez, cuyo museo con el mismo nombre yace en su interior y por albergar el Jardín botánico de La Habana. Pero bien, lo que nos ocupa es el evento que se realiza allí, un sábado en la noche. Confluyen allí una feria de artesanía y un espacio para bailar, que es lo me más me gusta de todo esto. Se vive y respira un ambiente sano, de mucho intercambio social, de buena energía e interacción. Las personas que asisten al lugar son de muy variada edad, desde hasta adolescentes hasta la tercera edad, en verdad se pasa muy bien. Música de los 70, 80 hasta las más actual rodea el evento. Lo que más me gustó de toda la noche fue la coreografía que todos bailamos, me incluyo, cuando pusieron varias canciones de los años 70 y 80, fue algo genial ver a tanta gente de distintas edades y estilos juntarse en un baile. Por otra parte quiero mostrarles una serie de fotografías, con las que quiero hacer mi entrada al reto diario #monomad, que son para mí un poco arriesgadas, son de noche y a media luz. Les incorporé un tono casi sepia para armonizar con el estilo colonial del lugar y su época. Espero les agrade esta propuesta. ¡Nos vemos!
