Heat, street and walking || Monomad

Hello lovers of black and white and cities. These days, or rather in these summer months the heat is suffocating in the midday and mid-afternoon hours. Walking under the crushing sun and the very high humidity requires an extra effort, as well as an extra knob of water and also some extra sunscreen. I remember the times when I was riding a motorcycle when I took off my shirt or t-shirt it looked like I had another one on underneath. The difference in skin tone was super contrasting, I could easily go out on the street like that, it was as if I was wearing a lighter shirt. I thought about it sometimes, but no!

Well, that's how I am these days when I go out to take some pictures around the city. When I come home I have two skin tones. But it's worth the effort. I can capture the daily life of this city and share it here in this wonderful community. With these images I want to make entry to the daily challenge #monomad. Havana is a city that I love to photograph, its people and its contrasts of all kinds. There are many old buildings that unfortunately are almost in ruins. Deteriorating until the last breath comes. Every day the city's conservation space is losing ground. At this rate, I don't think there will be much left to conserve. A real pity, Havana is still a very beautiful city! See you!

Hola apasionados del blanco y negro y de las ciudades. Por estos días, o mejor dicho en estos meses de verano el calor es sofocante en las horas de mediodía y media tarde. Caminar bajo el aplastante sol y la altísima humedad requiere un esfuerzo extra, así como un pomo de agua extra y también un poco de crema solar extra. Recuerdo los tiempos en que manejaba una moto cuando me quitaba la camisa o el t-shirt parecía que tenía otro debajo. La diferencia de tono de piel era súper contrastante, fácilmente podía salir así a la calle, era como si tuviera puesta una playera más clara. ¡Lo pensé algunas veces, pero no! Pues así ando por estos días en los que salgo a tomar algunas fotos por la ciudad. Cuando regreso a casa tengo dos tonos de piel. Pero vale la pena el esfuerzo. Puedo captar la vida diaria de esta ciudad y compartirla acá en esta maravillosa comunidad. Con estas imágenes quiero hacer entrada al reto diario #monomad. La Habana es una ciudad que me gusta mucho fotografiar, su gente y sus contrastes de todo tipo. Hay muchos inmuebles antiguos que desgraciadamente están casi en ruinas. Deteriorándose hasta que llegue el último suspiro. Cada día el espacio de conservación de la ciudad va perdiendo terreno. A este ritmo no creo que haya mucho que conservar. ¡Una verdadera lástima, la Habana todavía es una ciudad muy hermosa! ¡Nos vemos!
