Well it turns out that 210 km from our home, while visiting family home in the countryside, our beloved car did not want to start to return, and I understand it. I think he refused to return on the same road (more like the surface of the planet Mars). If it were me I wouldn't want to roll down that hell of a road either. Luckily my brother-in-law is a mechanic and a good one. We started to identify the problem, although I had very few tools in the car. Just a few wrenches and the most important thing, or the first thing to be changed when there is a problem starting the engine are the spark plugs, and of course, I had none to replace them! Anyway, we took out the spark plugs, cleaned them more or less well, with what we had on hand and put them in. And nothing! It wouldn't start.

We disassembled the carburetor, a rather complicated part to see if it had absorbed any small particles. The gaskets were a bit distorted and we had to invent some with thick cardboard and black silicone, which luckily I had in the trunk! We blew all the parts and put it back together again. Finally! It started up and my soul returned to my body. While we were doing the mechanical work, well I was the helper, I took the camera and took some shots, with which I want to make an entry to the daily challenge #monomad. In the end we were able to return without major mishaps. Just some steering parts to change after that trip, which here, in this part of the planet is already a luxury. See you!

Hola amantes del blanco y negro y de la mecánica automotriz. ¡Mecánica en blanco y negro, interesante! Pues resulta que a 210 km de nuestro hogar, estando de visita en casa de la familia en el campo, nuestro querido auto no quiso arrancar para regresar, y lo entiendo. Creo que se reusó a regresar por la misma carretera (más bien parecida a la superficie del planeta Marte). Si fuera yo tampoco quisiera rodar por ese infierno de carretera. Por suerte mi cuñado es mecánico y de los buenos. Empezamos a identificar el problema, aunque tenía muy pocas herramientas en el carro. Apenas unas pocas llaves inglesas y lo más importante, o lo primero que se cambia cuando hay algún problema de arranque del motor son las bujías, y porsupuesto, ¡no tenía ninguna para reponer! En fin, sacamos las bujías, las limpiamos más o menos bien, con lo que teníamos a mano y las colocamos. Y ¡Nada! No quiso arrancar aquello. Desarmamos el carburador, pieza por demás bastante complicada a ver si había absorbido alguna pequeña partícula. Al desarmarlo se distorsionaron un poco las juntas y hubo que inventar algunas con cartulina gruesa y silicona negra, ¡Que por suerte llevaba en el maletero! Soplamos todas las partes y armamos de nuevo. ¡Al fin! Arrancó y me volvió el alma al cuerpo. En lo que hacíamos el trabajo de mecánica, bueno yo hacía de ayudante, cogí la cámara e hice algunas tomas, con las que quiero hacer entrada al reto diario #monomad. Al final pudimos regresar sin mayores percances. Solo algunas piezas de la dirección para cambiar después de ese viaje, que eso aquí, en esta parte del planeta ya es un lujo. ¡Nos vemos!
