Enjoying the Beautiful View of the Rubber Krueng Aceh Park and Dam
Hi everyone, how are you today? I hope you're all well and able to resume your activities as usual. I'm back to share some photos I took during my trip. Yesterday, I took a short trip, but every trip leaves a story behind.
On my way yesterday, I noticed a building right on the side of the road. I've passed this newly completed road and building several times, but it was raining, so I didn't want to explore the area, and even if I did, I wouldn't have gotten good photos due to the lack of light.
It was a clear day, making the view quite beautiful. The office building on the side of the road isn't very large. What caught my attention wasn't the office itself, but the building behind it, which is located right next to the river behind it.
This location is near the border between Aceh Besar Regency and Banda Aceh City. The location I visited is still within Aceh Besar Regency, specifically in Ingin Jaya District.
The weather today was very sunny, with a bright blue sky and white clouds. The Karet Krueng Aceh Dam is located on the side of the main road leading to Banda Aceh City.
There is also a parking area at this location. Although it's not very large, you can park your vehicle comfortably, and the parking area is located near the entrance to the location. After parking my vehicle, I immediately explored the area, despite the hot weather and the fact that I was there during the day.
As we walked along the path leading to the rubber dam, we passed a park built near the office.
This park looks neatly landscaped and planted with several ornamental plants. It can also be an attractive hangout in the afternoon, as there are concrete benches for visitors. However, there are no vendors selling anything, not even snacks, so it's best to bring some snacks to enjoy while enjoying the beautiful scenery near the Krueng Aceh rubber dam.
When I visited, there were no staff on duty, so I couldn't climb the bridge over the dam, which is a sturdy structure that can be used to cross the river.
There were only a few children sitting here, playing with gadgets on the gazebo in the dam office yard.
From a distance, I also saw several people fishing at the rubber dam, circling the riverbank to reach the location. It was certainly a pleasant time to catch some freshwater fish here.
There's also a plaque here providing information about the rubber dam. According to the inscription, the dam's purpose was to prevent seawater intrusion. This dam plays a crucial role in preventing pollution from seawater intrusion, ensuring the river's freshwater quality is maintained.
It's currently the dry season, with very hot days. It hasn't rained for a long time, and the water level in this dam isn't high. During the rainy season, the water level appears higher, and the river or dam appears much wider with its larger surface area.
I tried to look from the bridge above the dam, but unfortunately, there were no guards, so no one opened the entrance to the bridge. In the end, I had to settle for taking photos from the river bank.
If I'd been here in the afternoon when the weather was cooler, perhaps there would have been more visitors coming to explore this place. The wind also felt a little strong because this is an open area.
Moreover, this park is also planted with large trees that have been pruned to shape them to your liking. Spending more time here doesn't make me bored, but instead makes me more relaxed and want to spend more time in this open park.
I really enjoyed being here, even with the scorching sun, but the beauty of this place made it all worth it.
Well everyone, that concludes our meeting for this time. Thank you for coming and viewing and reading my post. See you again in my next post.
