Summer mushrooms
Community greetings and happy Friday to all mushroom lovers here. Today I want to share some mushroom findings in nature, which I found while hunting for mushrooms in the past few days.
It's actually entering summer here and it's a bit of a challenge to hunt mushrooms, they're hard to get. However, I have some mushrooms that are able to survive the summer like now.
And the mushrooms that I show today are also my contribution to the #FungiFriday challenge organized by @ewkaw.
First I show this blackish brown mushroom, it grows on the trunk of a fallen mango tree. This mushroom has a fairly hard texture and you have to use some energy to pull it out of the tree trunk.
This mushroom has a long life and is able to survive in hot weather. This species actually has several types with different shapes and they can be very large with various shapes.
Next I have this mushroom. A mushroom that is often called a frog egg mushroom, that's because this mushroom resembles a frog egg, you must know frog eggs that are often found on the banks of rivers or near lakes and attached to stems or leaves.
It looks very trivial. But imagine this mushroom is also able to survive in hot weather. The texture can be said to be not hard but also not flexible. It does not have a stem and they just stick to the growing medium, and the pores are also visible like an ant's nest.
And the last one. This is actually not a mushroom that can survive the summer. Incidentally, this mushroom grows on a sago trunk that has been cut down. It looks like this mushroom has just grown, only a few days.
Let's just say this is a sago mushroom. Yes, people do call it that. Because this mushroom grows on a sago tree trunk. This mushroom is a mushroom that can be consumed. I also brought it home to cook later.
Those are the mushrooms I hunted this time to display here in this week's FungiFriday challenge.
Thank you to everyone who has stopped by here. May you have a beautiful and enjoyable day. See you next Friday.
