Cyclopelta is a genus of Dinidorid insects found in Africa and Asia. There are 14 species in this genus, with 8 species found in Asia and 6 species in Africa. Some species are known to form large aggregations on trees and can cause damage to some economically valuable trees. The genus Cyclopelta has four-segmented antennae. Species in this genus have two to four pairs of conjunctival processes on their aedeagus, a feature shared with Coridius, Colpoproctus, and Dinidor. In Cyclopelta, the femurs are spiny along the surface and females have a hind tibia that is opaque on the inner surface. The underside lacks the series of yellow spots found in Dinidor. wikipediA

sourceiNaturalist is a citizen science platform and online social network that allows users to record and share observations about biodiversity, as well as assist in species identification. The platform allows users to upload photos or videos of plants, animals, and other organisms, which can then be identified by a community of other users. In addition, iNaturalist also has an automatic identification feature that uses computer vision to help identify species.
