Dear Patricio, rest in peace ❤️🐹
Hello everyone!
I haven't had a pet for years, not really, but I have had the feeling of having one. In the past, yes, but then goodbyes are hard times and well, you have to have time and dedication for them.
But my brother does, he has had several hamsters over time and the last one was called Patricio, a name with personality because the little friend had it.
It was not my responsibility, but every time I went to his house, I saw him and we were with him, we gave him food, etc. And also in times when his owner had to be away or had vacations, he would take him home and there he would take care of him directly, we would have breakfast together haha (dried fruits and blueberries... well, after something else).
It was very lively, although like any of these small rodents, very elusive, in the sense that it tends to come out more at night than during the day. Although he never liked getting on the wheel, mindless spinning was not his thing, he just walked around.
Well, last night, after a very familiar day, my brother told me when he got to his house, he had died.
The truth is that he was already old, he had much more white hair and you could see that he was slower. We actually knew that he might not live this summer, but we are never quite prepared for these moments.
Because it's a small animal, it's not like a dog that you interact with more, but any person with a heart eventually grows fond of any endearing creature, right?
My little nephew has known him although he will have no memories because he is very small. But for those of us who have fed him and have seen him create his own shelters and collect all the food in his cheeks, we have all been very sorry, I almost got emotional, I don't know... that's why I thought of writing this.
He has had a good life, now our little friend will be happy wherever he is. Surely our animals are in heaven too.

No matter how big or small we become attached to our pets. They just a need a name to become part of the family.

I'm sorry your little friend past away. Of course we love and get attached to these wonderful souls. And those pets with a particular character somehow capture our hearts on a deeper level. I love pets; cats are my favorite ❤️
🤗 thank you. Yes we get attached to those little friends very quick, in the past I had a bird and a dog, always thinking about a cat... but maybe one day... I'm too emotional jaja😅 (maybe better a turtle who can live almost 100 years). Happy week my friend.

Yo creo que la naturaleza los programó para tiempos cortos, porque los humanos tenemos mucho que más que aprender que ellos y de ellos.

Oooh lo siento mucho :( sí me pareció curioso verte escribir sobre una mascota, sin embargo no pensaba que sería una despedida, pero comprendo que necesitaras drenar un poco esa sensación de abandono que nos deja cualquier ser que haya tenido algo de importancia en nuestras vidas. Siempre he creído que nuestros blogs en Hive son una forma de hacer terapia, escribir ayuda mucho.
Espero que con el tiempo se haga más fácil enfrentar la ausencia y que solo queden los bonitos recuerdos que disfrutaron en su compañía. A mí me hace mucha gracia lo de la comida en los mofletes, es súper impresionante jajaja. ¡¡Un fuerte abrazo!!
Así es, bueno fue la noche pasada y lo tenía en la cabeza, ya no estará todo el tinglado que tenía ni esos mofletes jeje pero bueno es ley de vida, es normal, solo es tenerlo en mente pero también tenemos emociones. Ha vivido bien con mucha comida que se llevaba en los mofletes inflados. Gracias 😊

Muchas gracias querida, sí lo entiendo yo tampoco era muy fan, pero al final los tienes ahí delante y son entrañables y te afeccionas... a cualquier animalito que esté cerca se le coge cariño, salvo a los mosquitos pesados! Pero bueno es una pena en este caso, pero ley de vida para todos. 🤗

Hamsters are adorable, but unfortunately they don't have long lifespan and it's always heartbreaking to say goodbye 💔
