Cool Kites - Friendlymoose Photo Contest New Round: COOL

Hello people!

This is my second time participating in this new Friendlymoose photocontest, and it's great to be part again of these contests! I like a lot the new original topic for this week and I would like to join the contest because the topic is about "cool", yeah just like that. And it is a good topic because there's something emotional about it; it also implies a subjective perspective, a feeling about something we really liked when we were taking the photo. So there are many possibilities, because there are so many things we find cool.

So, here my cool contest photography:

Well, it's summer, and it's still incredibly hot these days, so many of us are spending a good time at the beach. This photo is on the beach, (on the popular and famous beach of La Malvarrosa, in Valencia, Spain), but not about the beach itself. It's about something really cool that happened there: a wind festival (el Festival del Viento), where a lot of people gathered with lots of kites, small ones and some very large ones, all very cool.

It's great to see so much color in the sand, but especially against the blue sky. Lots of colors and shapes. There were ladybugs, a giant bear, and lots of other great kites. Isn't it an unexpectedly cool moment to enjoy the wind in a different way on the beach?
