Like from the beginning of the 20th century

Even as a child, when black and white photography was the most common form in my family's photo albums, I fell in love with this black and white world, #monomad world 🙂

This is the first time I'm posting a photo without color on Hive, so I thought it would be interesting to photograph something timeless, a building whose black and white photo, like the one I took, could have been taken 100 years ago.

I went to Szeged yesterday.
Walking towards Szeged's shopping center, along Szeged's wide streets and boulevards, the road led us past the synagogue.
I didn't know anything about her, so I decided to visit her.
The synagogue was built in 1904-1907 and is the second largest in Hungary (the largest in Budapest), and the fourth largest in the world.
When I went up to the gallery, I realized how big it is.

Galleries with wooden benches, beautiful stained glass windows, dome and chandeliers, with a magnificent altar, through these black and white photographs.
It brought me back to the beginning of the turn of the century.

What I cannot convey to you in these black and white photos is the sound of the pipe organ on which the young organist played. Let this be the only color image that will testify that this post is from the 21st century (when color photography is almost the only thing known and recognized) , so you don't think I'm calling from 1924.

The grandiosity of the synagogue photographed in its entirety, with the sun behind the clouds made the photographs exceptional.

I leave it to the lovers of black and white photos (which I am) to enjoy the beauty of these photos of mine "from long ago".
