I choose a lake: One circle around the Belgrade lake Ada ciganlija
The weather was very strange this past weekend.
Not too warm to go to a swimming pool, not too sunny to lie on a beach, but again, so pleasant that I didn't want to stay in the apartment all day.
And that's why I went to the Belgrade lake, Ada ciganlija.
After reading the daily news, a few pages of the book I started last week, reviewing Hive and writing a post (which occupied me both days of the weekend), I decided to make a lap around the lake.
The bicycle rental service was very far from me (and it was out of the question to "borrow" one of the bikes that were parked nearby), and these days I am not in the condition to walk a full circle of 8 km in the short time I had at my disposal, so I decided to take a ride in one of the "cars" that operate in the summer season.
I took a few photos along the way, as if I knew @friendlymoose would choose "Lakes or Rivers" for this week's theme.
Actually, I took photos in the hope that some of those photos would turn out to be interesting, due to the reflection of the sun and sky on the water surface, but as preparations for a competition were taking place on the lake, the water was rough and the waves disturbed the reflection.
But still, on one, I caught the sun trying to break through the clouds.
That's all my cell phone camera could do.
But enough about the photo I'm participating in this week's #FPC contest.
Very nice! We have friends from Belgrade and we need to go visit soon!
If you do this in the next month, you will probably have a good weather.
Just check with the hosts that you don't run into any protests against the authorities.
Although, if you run into the revolution, you will have an interesting story 🙂
In the last two seasons, it has not been as crowded as it was before.
Society is changing a little. They are going on vacation abroad, and the kids are at the swimming pools, for which this freaky Belgrade government has canceled the entrance fee and thus created chaos at the swimming pools.
But that's why Ada is great. Peace and quiet, clean water...
Nice! I remembered Ada Ciganlija as a very crowded place in the summer!
