A joyful afternoon walk to the playground

“Dad, when will Grandpa come so we can all go to the playground together?” my five-year-old son Aca asked, clearly tired of watching cartoons.

“Just a few more minutes,” I nodded. “Let’s get ready. The weather is beautiful—we’ll make the most of it before your choir practice.”

Soon we were on our way

At the playground, we were greeted by the cheerful noise of neighborhood kids. Music played from a phone, swings flew high, and laughter filled the air. Aca imediately join this positive and sweet haos.

Milica and Meda rolled and played in the grass while children gathered around to pet and cuddle Milica.

The fun quickly turned into a full playground adventure—running, climbing, and exploring.

At one point, Aca had a brilliant idea: he called Milica to join him on the roof of the playhouse. To everyone’s delight, she accepted the challenge and jumped up! I captured the moment—a perfect memory of this sunny spring day.

After climbing down, Aca slipped back into his sneakers and headed for the slide. Just then, my wife arrived with our daughter Anja, who ran straight to her brother. Soon they were rocking together on a spring rider, laughing and playing.

As the day slowly turned into dusk, it was time to leave for choir practice. Aca would surely have plenty of stories to share with his friends.

With children full of energy, ideas, and imagination, life is never boring—even for us adults.
