The doors are crooked, creaky and close with difficulty, they may not even close with a bolt at all. Inside there is a standard toilet, not a hole in the floor, this is good. There is no sink with a tap for washing hands, this is sad. However, I have already said that the best toilet is in "Cool Breeze Tavern", in the beach cafes "Sunset" and "Travellers Inn" things are much worse. The backyards with blue film are the backyard of the "Sunset" kitchen. It looks so-so ...

The second sad point is the sun loungers. There are fancy sun loungers under sun umbrellas, there are sun loungers under awnings, there are few of them, but they exist. The sun is very dangerous here, you shouldn't recklessly stick your paws out from under the umbrella, you can quickly and unpleasantly get sunburned. Awnings are safer in this regard. By the way, do you see this red and green flag with the coat of arms? Incidentally, this is the Portuguese flag (the long colonial past makes itself felt), it can often be seen in Goa, the flag of the state of Goa looks different.

From the Arabian Sea side, the sun loungers at "Sunset" look something like this.

Some of the sun loungers look cool. Curved contours, multi-colored mats. Beach people run here first with squeals, and then the nuances begin. The sun loungers, although they look fashionable, are broken, some have a headboard that does not fold out normally, some have a broken grate and your butt along with the mat will quickly fall into the hole and end up on the sand. Therefore, although the sun loungers seem beautiful, they are useless. The ugly wooden trestle beds are more reliable in this regard, it is worth choosing them. Come on, who am I telling this to? People still go to the fancy sun loungers first to see for themselves that they are rubbish.

This is a view of Sunset from the Cool Breeze Tavern. The sun loungers under the canopy belong to Cool Breeze, we were based there at first, until they lost our trust. By the way, they play loud music at Sunset. Some people won’t like it (we didn’t like it!). This became another reason why we started going to the sun loungers in the Travelers Inn cafe. A little more about the flags. Just looking at the Russian flag, you can immediately understand why this beach is called the “Russian” beach and who the main guests are here. And the white and blue flag next to it is the same “blue” flag that any beach dreams of, a flag that indicates the safety of the beach and the suitability of the water for swimming.

Still, Zalor is a good beach, not too crowded, with pleasant, almost white, crunchy sand underfoot.

We still have to look at the “Travellers Inn” cafe and in terms of beach food and sun loungers, Zalor Beach will be covered, although there are still some semi-legal sun loungers here, I will also tell you about them.

Nun erzähle ich Ihnen vom ersten traurigen Punkt. Hier gibt es eine separate Dusche, die im Vordergrund zu sehen ist. Eine rote Kabine aus Wellblech mit einem schwarzen Plastikkrug mit Wasser ist eine Toilette. Die Türen sind schief, knarren und schließen nur schwer, manchmal sogar gar nicht mit einem Riegel. Im Inneren ist eine Standardtoilette eingebaut und kein Loch im Boden, was gut ist. Es gibt kein Waschbecken mit Wasserhahn zum Händewaschen, was schade ist. Wie ich jedoch bereits sagte, befindet sich das beste Badezimmer in der Cool Breeze Tavern, während die Strandcafés Sunset und Travellers Inn viel schlechter sind. Der blaue Filmhinterhof ist der Hinterhof der Sunset Kitchen. Sieht so lala aus...

Der zweite traurige Punkt sind die Sonnenliegen. Es gibt bequeme Sonnenliegen unter Sonnenschirmen, es gibt Sonnenliegen unter Markisen, es gibt nicht viele davon, aber es gibt sie. Die Sonne ist hier sehr gefährlich, strecken Sie Ihre Pfoten nicht leichtfertig unter dem Sonnenschirm hervor, Sie können sich schnell und unangenehm verbrennen. Vordächer sind in dieser Hinsicht sicherer. Sehen Sie übrigens diese rot-grüne Flagge mit dem Wappen? Dies ist übrigens eine portugiesische Flagge (die lange Kolonialvergangenheit macht sich bemerkbar), sie ist in Goa oft zu sehen, die Flagge des Staates Goa sieht anders aus.

Obwohl die Sonnenliegen schön aussehen, sind sie nutzlos. Zuverlässiger sind in dieser Hinsicht die gruseligen Holzbockbetten, es lohnt sich, sich für sie zu entscheiden. Komm schon, wem erzähle ich das? Noch immer gehen die Leute zuerst zu den schicken Liegen, um sich selbst davon zu überzeugen, dass das Schrott ist.

Dies ist ein Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang von der Cool Breeze Tavern. Die Sonnenliegen unter dem Baldachin gehören Cool Breeze, wo wir uns zunächst niedergelassen haben, bis sie unser Vertrauen verloren haben. Bei Sunset wird übrigens laute Musik gespielt. Manchen Leuten wird es nicht gefallen (uns hat es nicht gefallen!). Dies war ein weiterer Grund, warum wir begannen, die Sonnenliegen im Café des Travelers Inn aufzusuchen. Noch etwas zu Flaggen. Allein beim Anblick der russischen Flagge versteht man sofort, warum dieser Strand „russischer“ Strand heißt und wer hier die Hauptgäste sind. Und die weiß-blaue Flagge daneben ist genau die „blaue“ Flagge, von der jeder Strand träumt, eine Flagge, die die Sicherheit des Strandes und die Eignung des Wassers zum Schwimmen anzeigt.

Dennoch ist Zalor ein guter Strand, nicht zu überfüllt, mit angenehmem, fast weißem, knirschendem Sand unter den Füßen.

Das Café „Travellers Inn“ müssen wir uns noch ansehen und was Strandessen und Sonnenliegen angeht, ist der Zalor Beach abgedeckt, wobei es hier noch einige halblegale Sonnenliegen gibt, auch davon werde ich euch erzählen.
