The driver drove quickly, confidently, but carefully. The roads in this part of Goa are narrow, about one and a half wide, definitely not for two cars. They really skimp on the asphalt!
A temple looms through the thickets near Cola Beach. This is the Shree Gramdev Laxminarayan Temple. It's dedicated to the sacred village deity (not literally the village deity, but rather the patron of the entire area), Lakshmi-Narayana. Most often, this is the mother goddess, the goddess of fertility, who protects the village from all misfortunes and calamities. And this is a very popular theme in South India! But there are also male Gramdevatas. This is a unique case: a deity composed of Lakshmi (the female form) and Narayana (the male form). Narayana is Vishnu's side view. Narayana is the god of protection and support. And Lakshmi is the goddess of fertility, luck, and wealth, and also Narayana's consort. Incidentally, Sri is another name for Lakshmi. Lakshmi-Narayana is a very popular pairing in Vaishnavism. Although they are ostensibly a couple, they are a single, indivisible being. There is no Lakshmi without Narayana, and no Narayana without Lakshmi (c). Lakshmi resides in the heart of Narayana. This divine pair is worshiped and revered as the supreme deity, granting prosperity, well-being, and success to its adherents and their families. In short, this is it. The temple was built in 1995, but that's not accurate. Incidentally, just for kicks, Kakolem Beach is nearby. Yeah, I'm laughing at that name too!
This secret bridge for small cars leads to Agonda. We crossed it last time in a minibus. But big buses take a different route, through "Leopard Valley."
It's a very narrow bridge, it even feels a bit uneasy.

Der Fahrer fuhr schnell, souverän, aber vorsichtig. Die Straßen in diesem Teil von Goa sind schmal, etwa anderthalb Meter breit, definitiv nicht für zwei Autos. Sie sparen wirklich am Asphalt!
Ein Tempel ragt durch das Dickicht in der Nähe des Cola Beach. Es ist der Shree Gramdev Laxminarayan Tempel. Er ist der heiligen Dorfgottheit (nicht wörtlich der Dorfgottheit, sondern vielmehr der Schutzpatronin der gesamten Gegend), Lakshmi-Narayana, gewidmet. Meistens ist dies die Muttergöttin, die Göttin der Fruchtbarkeit, die das Dorf vor allem Unglück und Unglück beschützt. Und das ist ein sehr beliebtes Thema in Südindien! Es gibt aber auch männliche Gramdevatas. Dies ist ein einzigartiger Fall: eine Gottheit, die aus Lakshmi (der weiblichen Form) und Narayana (der männlichen Form) besteht. Es gibt keine Lakshmi ohne Narayana und kein Narayana ohne Lakshmi (c). Lakshmi residiert im Herzen Narayanas. Dieses göttliche Paar wird als höchste Gottheit verehrt und verehrt, die ihren Anhängern und ihren Familien Wohlstand, Wohlergehen und Erfolg schenkt. Kurz gesagt, das ist es. Diese geheime Brücke für Kleinwagen führt nach Agonda. Wir sind das letzte Mal mit einem Kleinbus darüber gefahren. Große Busse nehmen jedoch eine andere Route, nämlich durch das „Leopard Valley“.
Die Brücke ist sehr schmal, man fühlt sich sogar etwas unwohl.
